I’m a proud single mother of two amazing children, Drake and Laila. Like many single parents, I’ve faced the crushing weight of financial struggles—juggling work, parenting, and the overwhelming uncertainty of how to secure our future. I know what it’s like to sacrifice sleep, time, and peace of mind just to keep a roof over my children’s heads. In 2008, when the market collapsed, I lost everything—my job, my stability, and the financial security I had worked so hard to build. But through that hardship, I discovered something even more powerful: a way to break free from financial struggle and build lasting wealth. No one teaches single parents how to protect their families from financial disaster. I had to learn the hard way—but you don’t have to.
From Financial Survival to Financial Freedom
Before I became a financial professional, I earned my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Howard University and built a career with companies like Choice Hotels International, ADP, and United Healthcare. But even with my corporate background, I still found myself struggling financially as a single parent.
That’s when I made a decision: I was going to learn everything I could about building, protecting, and growing wealth—not just for myself, but for others like me.
Today, I’m the founder of Bloom Wealth Partners, a financial services company dedicated to helping single parents and families achieve financial freedom. I’m also the creator of The Grow Wealth Plan—a comprehensive, step-by-step strategy designed to eliminate debt, protect income, and create generational wealth.
